How to Cancel Your Candy.ai Subscription (2026 Guide)

The exact 5 steps, what happens to your access afterwards, and the refund clause that catches almost everyone.

UPDATED JULY 27, 2026
Short answer: log in to Candy.ai, open My Profile, click Settings, scroll to the bottom, and click Unsubscribe. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again. Refunds are a separate and much stricter matter: you have 24 hours and you must have used 20 tokens or fewer.

Cancelling is genuinely easy on Candy.ai, which is more than can be said for a lot of adult subscriptions. The part people get wrong is the refund, because the rules are in the terms of service and nobody reads them until they are annoyed. Here is the whole thing, steps first, then the money.

  1. Cancel in 5 steps
  2. What happens after you cancel
  3. Can you get a refund?
  4. The EU and UK withdrawal right
  5. Tokens you already bought
  6. If you cannot find the Unsubscribe button
  7. Do not go straight to a chargeback
  8. Cancelling vs deleting your account

How to cancel your Candy.ai subscription, in 5 steps

  1. Log in to your Candy.ai account on the web.
  2. Open the My Profile menu.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Scroll to the bottom. Your subscription details sit there, with an Unsubscribe button.
  5. Click Unsubscribe and confirm through the prompts.

That is the full path, and it matches what Candy.ai documents in its own help centre and in section 10.1 of its terms of service. The same Settings screen also shows your start date, end date and plan type, which is exactly what you want to screenshot before you close the tab.

Do this: take a screenshot of the confirmation and of the subscription screen showing it is cancelled. If a renewal ever slips through, that screenshot is the entire argument.

What happens after you cancel

  • You keep access until the end of the current billing period. Cancelling is not instant termination, so there is no reason to wait until the last day.
  • You are not charged for the next period. That is the whole point of cancelling early.
  • When it expires, your account reverts to the free version. You keep the account, but paid features stop. In our testing the free tier is a demo: roughly five or six messages, blurred images, video locked, one character.
  • Your companions and chats stay on the account unless you delete the account itself. See below.

Can you get a refund from Candy.ai?

Sometimes, but the window is narrow and most people miss it. Straight from section 10.4.1 of the terms:

  • You have 24 hours after payment to request a refund. After that, no refunds.
  • Regardless of timing, it is denied if you have used more than 20 tokens. This is the clause that catches nearly everyone: spend an evening generating images and you have written off the refund even inside the 24 hours.
  • Only subscriptions paid by card can be refunded. If you paid by crypto, there is no refund route.
  • Refunds are refused for technical problems on your side.
  • A refund, if granted, cancels the subscription immediately.

So the honest advice: if you have just been charged and you know you do not want it, request the refund before you use the product, then cancel. If you have already spent tokens, treat the money as gone and cancel to stop the next charge.

If you are in the EU or the UK

You have a statutory withdrawal right, and Candy.ai's terms acknowledge it in 10.4.3: the refund covers amounts paid, but the right applies to the initial purchase only, not to renewal periods. In plain terms, it can help you undo a first subscription, it will not undo the annual renewal you forgot about. That is another argument for cancelling early rather than at the deadline.

What about tokens you already bought?

Token top-ups are a separate purchase from the subscription, and cancelling the subscription does not refund them. Once your paid access expires, unused paid features go with it. If you have a token balance and you are planning to cancel, spend it first.

If you cannot find the Unsubscribe button

It sits at the bottom of Settings, under your subscription details, and it is easy to scroll past. If it genuinely is not there, in order:

  1. Confirm you are logged into the account that was charged. Duplicate accounts made with a different email are the most common cause.
  2. Try a desktop browser. Mobile layouts can push the section below where people stop scrolling.
  3. Contact support through the EverAI help centre and ask them to cancel, in writing. Keep the ticket.

Do not go straight to a chargeback

It is tempting, and it is usually the wrong first move. Under the terms, a chargeback request cancels your subscription immediately, so you lose the access you paid for while your bank spends weeks deciding. It also tends to get the account closed. Cancel properly first, request the refund in writing if you are inside the window, and keep the chargeback as a genuine last resort if they take money they were told not to take.

Cancelling is not deleting

Two different actions. Unsubscribe stops the billing. Deleting your account removes the account and its associated data, and you do that from the same account settings area. If your reason for leaving is privacy rather than money, cancel and then delete, in that order, because deleting first can make a pending refund request harder to process. We cover what Candy.ai stores and how discreet the billing is in is Candy.ai safe.

One thing to check on your statement

The charge does not say "Candy.ai". It bills discreetly as EverAI, the Malta-based company behind the app, so when you are scanning your statement to confirm the billing has stopped, that is the name to look for. More on the company in is Candy.ai legit.

Leaving because of the price, or because of the app?

Worth separating, because the fix is different. If the token metering is what pushed you out, that is our main criticism in the full Candy.ai review too, and there are apps that meter far less aggressively: see Candy.ai alternatives. If you simply do not want to pay for this at all, the genuinely free options are a short list and we ranked them honestly.
