The exact 3 steps, the blurred-gallery clause nobody surfaces, what really happens to your Dreamcoins, and the refund rules from OurDream's own documents.
Cancelling OurDream.ai takes about a minute. The traps are in what happens afterwards, to your gallery and to your Dreamcoins, and every one of them is documented in OurDream's own help centre, which nobody reads until they are already annoyed. Steps first, then your content, then the money.
That is the full path, and it matches OurDream's own help centre instructions. The refund policy adds a second route: you can also cancel by email to support@ourdream.ai, which is the one to use if you cannot log in to the account being charged.
This is the clause nobody surfaces, straight from OurDream's help centre: when your paid access ends, your generated images and videos are not deleted, they are blurred, community packs included, until you subscribe again. OurDream says it plainly in "What happens to my images if I unsubscribe?" and again in "What happens when my subscription expires?".
Cancelling starts that countdown. So before your end date: go through your gallery and download everything you want to keep. The content stays attached to your account and unblurs if you ever resubscribe, but if you are leaving for good, the download is your only copy.
OurDream's help centre gives two answers that do not quite agree. The cancellation article says unused Dreamcoins remain usable until your billing period ends, and that a later reactivation does not restore them. The expiry article says "coins do not expire", but also that without an active subscription you cannot buy coins and are limited to free-tier perks, with images and videos blurred. Read together, the pessimistic version is the one to plan around: once your access ends, your coins are useless in practice and will not come back if you resubscribe. Spend the balance before your end date.
Cancelling by itself refunds nothing: there are no automatic refunds, and the refund policy states that unused portions of a billing period are generally non-refundable. Beyond that, OurDream's own two documents set the real rules:
So the honest advice mirrors what we say about every app in this space: if you have just been charged and know you do not want it, request the refund before you use the product, then cancel. If you have already burned through the coins, treat the money as gone and cancel to stop the next charge.
You have a statutory 14-day withdrawal right under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and its UK and Swiss equivalents, and OurDream's refund policy acknowledges it: email a clear statement to support@ourdream.ai within 14 days of the transaction and they must refund to your original payment method within 14 days of your notice. The catch is in the same clause: by using the service immediately after purchase and consenting to its performance, you can lose the right once the digital service has been fully provided. In plain terms: the withdrawal right is strongest when you have not used what you bought, so send that email before you go generate a gallery.
OurDream's refund policy asks you to contact support before disputing a charge, and warns that a chargeback filed without contact may get the account suspended pending investigation, with the company reserving the right to fight disputes it considers unwarranted. The order that protects you: cancel properly, request the refund in writing if you are inside a window, and keep the chargeback as the genuine last resort for money taken after they were told to stop.
Two different actions. Cancel subscription stops the billing and keeps the account. Deleting the account is in the "danger zone" at the bottom of the same profile page, takes 24 to 48 hours to process, and per the help centre it is permanent: characters, generations, chat history and coins are gone, and any remaining paid time dies with it. The order matters. Download your content, settle any refund request, cancel, and only then delete, because deleting first burns access you already paid for. What OurDream stores and how discreet the billing is are covered in is OurDream.ai safe.
The charge carries no adult label. OurDream.ai is operated by Dream Studio USA, Inc. (Delaware), Dream Studio LLC (New Mexico) and Tektopia Ltd (Cyprus, HE 473775), so when you scan your statement to confirm the billing has stopped, look for OurDream or the Dream Studio names rather than anything obviously NSFW. More on the companies in our full OurDream.ai review.
Worth separating, because the fix is different. If the Dreamcoin metering is what pushed you out, that is our main criticism in the OurDream.ai review too, and the apps that meter differently are compared in OurDream.ai alternatives. If you do not want to pay at all, the genuinely free options are a short honest list. And if your subscription is with Candy.ai instead, that playbook has its own traps: how to cancel Candy.ai.
